LM76002: Drawing current from VCC

Part Number: LM76002

The datasheet says that drawing current from the VCC pin is "not recommended" but are there any guidelines on whether a small amount of current might be acceptable?  I am looking to provide 3.3V to a microcontroller.  Exact current draw is TBD but will be less than 5mA, possibly less than 1mA.

I could use a separate LDO if needed but it's so tempting to use the 3.3V output that is just sitting there...
