LP87702-Q1: Ask for alternative device with only buck fuction remained

Part Number: LP87702-Q1
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: LP87702, TPS65653-Q1

Hi,

We are developping some product with TI EVM as reference. In the power management part, EVM use LP87702DRHBRQ1 to generate 1.24V/1.8V/5V output with 3.3V input. In our product design, 5V is not required. So could you recommend some alternative device, which only generate 1.24V/1.8V output with 3.3V input?

Thanks and Best Regards

Dong

  • Hello,

Sorry for the delay here, there was a mix-up in assignment. I have fixed the ownership and you will hear back on June 19th, US time.

  • Hello,

Thanks for reaching out to us. Currently, TI does not provide a LP87702 spin that excludes the 5V interface. Even if the 5V BOOST is not used, the external components for the BOOST interface must still be installed.

If your product doesn’t need to have ASIL certification, we recommend that you look at our TPS65653-Q1 chip, which does not have a 5V BOOST output. We currently have an OTP configuration of this chip that outputs at 1V/1.8V. More information on this product can be found here: https://www.ti.com/product/TPS65653-Q1.

    Thank you,
    Rob Hughes
