BQ77915: Temperature protection

Hello,

For 13 series cell configuration, I am using 3 BQ77915 parts in stacked implementation. So for temperature protection of the entire pack, do we require 3 parts of 103AT NTC?

Is it possible to implement stacked BQ77915 with a single 103AT NTC thermistor for the entire pack. If yes how will the upper device VTB and TS pin shall be configured.

    Hi Shivani,

    We recommend using 3 AT NTC for a 3 device stack, 1 NTC for each device. If you wish to only use one NTC, the TS pin will need a 10k Ohm resistor tied to ground and the VTB pin can be left floating. This configuration should disable the temperature protection for that device. 

    EDIT: VTB pin needs to be connected to TS pin through 10kOhm resistor.
