LM34936: SW adjustable buck-boost recommendation

Part Number: LM34936
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: TPS55288, , BQ25790

Hello Support Team,

Looking for a SW controlled buck-boost solution. Ideally, the application target requirements 0v* < Vout < 24V* @ 500mA max load current
We could probably live with slightly higher Vout_min / lower Vout_max for cost / complexity trade-off. The input voltage ranges from 6v ~ 12v.

Because of relatively low power, I figured a converter would be preferable.
TPS55288 comes close 0.8v < Vout < 21.26V, however it requires 2-external FETs.

Looking at your controller,
LM34936 is a better with 0.8v < Vout < 30V, but requires 4-external FETs

Both options above require loop compensation for wide Vout which adds to complexity.

#1) Can you please advise suitable values for comp network / slope capacitor, is there a TI tool available to confirm?
WEBENCH Power Designer calculates values for a specific Vout not a range.

Interestingly, I came across BQ25790 buck-boost battery charger with integrated FETs.
It also supports OTG and a programmable Vout range from 2.8v to 22v in 10mV steps.
This looks most promising solution, and it just got released

#1) Can you please advise on device availability and lead time?

The application is for industrial / harsh environment with wide temperature range and humidity levels
#2) Can you please advise / share reliability data for this device?

Thanks,
AJ
