TLV700: TLV700 internal resistor parameter

Part Number: TLV700
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: TPS782

Hi Team ,

My Customer sue our part is TLV70033 , and they require that they wander to know the internal resistor value of output feedback in compactor.

Because these information I also not to see on the datasheet .

Could you please to provide to us and let me explain for them ?

Eddie

  • Hi Eddie,

I went through the history of the part development and I could not find any details on the values of the internal feedback resistors. Typically this is a concern with lower IQ devices. Can you share why the customer is asking?

I would have to submit a request to the design team to get the values.

  • Hi Cummings,

The customer use two set device to supply their DSP DVCC and AVCC pin , and when the DSP into the low power mode will turn down the AVCC pin supply power , so the one of LDO are going to standby mode. at his time they find the LDO standby current are higher to the 80uA.

They are curious our internal resistor value , because this will impact their power consumption  ability.

So please provide this data for him , they will evaluate still use this device to design or not ?

  • Hi Eddie,

I can ask design if they can get us the feedback resistor values. In the meantime, if standby power is a concern, have you seen the TPS7A02? This is our 25nA Iq LDO.

This uses a different approach to regulate VOUT where there are no feedback resistors adding leak at the output.

Let me know what you think.

  • Hi Cummings ,

Yes , we suggestion the customer to used another LDO which is TPS782 , but their design is still want to know this device internal resistor value.

Because this part is still used on his other project , so please released this information for us and we can explain for him , thanks a lot !

  • Hi Eddie,

The bottom feedback resistor is 1.14MOhms. so for 3.3V the total pulldown resistance is ~1.79Mohms.

I hope this helps to explain the leakage.

  • Hi Cummings

Got it , thanks a lot from your support.
