What information is available about the charge status of the battery?

When powered from a auxiliary device, Is there any information that can be used to determine if battery is

a) fully charged?

b) missing?

Is there a way to force the system to be powered from battery when the adapter power is connected.

Hi,

1. REG08[4:3]

Charging status:

00 – Not Charging 01 – Pre-charge or trickle charge (< VBATLOWV) 10 – Fast Charging 11 – Charge Termination

The device does not have battery detection.

2. Yes. Please refer to 9.3.3.6 HIZ Mode with Adapter Present.

a) can you recommend a device with battery detection or a way to do battery detection?

b) what is the current rating of the PMID output?

I'm charging a single cell Li-FePO4

i have 1A adapter and the system power is 700mA

Hi,

a) Please check

b) There's no PMID pin on the BQ24133. For BQ25611D, in charge mode, PMID current is limited by input current limit IINLIM.
