Hello, I want to use TPS2492 HOT Swap IC protect my battery from the charging.
My battery is 7s24p (from 21V to 29V), I am going to use 30A for charging current.
Here are some points and my plan and simple block diagram.
1. Connect TPS2492's Vin to Battery, Vout to Charger port, Add btob Fet and connect sense R backwards.
2. After Charger port is plugged in the system, system will observe charger port is well plugged in.
3. If charger port is well plugged in, then the system enables TPS2492 and charging begins.

Normally current goes through Hotswap's Vin to Vout.

But in my case I want to current goes through Hotswap's Vout to Vin. (I will connect sense R also reverse, so Current sense wouldn't be minus)
Because I want to control TPS2492 form the system side(battery side). And let's just say there are some other reasons for the scenarios.

If I use TPS2492 backwards above, will there be any side effect?

I think it would work well.
After all the settings, Hotswap will just turn on the fet gate then current can go through Vin - to Vout or Vin to Vout.
(On the condition : FET will be added, and Sense R' s connection also be changed
