Hi team,
We found one use case of 5V to 3.3V, output 2W, Can 4 UCC outputs connect together?
Thanks.

Hi Jeff - great question. It is not recommended to parallel the outputs of even two UCC12040/50 dc-dc converters. Paralleling dc-dc converter outputs requires some type of remote sense capability or access to the internal feedback of the converter. Neither of these are options with UCC12040/50 and so there is no convenient method available to force balanced load sharing in steady state operation. Then there are also dynamic performance concerns such as: soft overload recovery, short circuit recovery, transient response and startup to name a few. If you need similar isolation capability to UCC12040 but higher power, I would recommend SN6505A/B (Refer to Table 3 in the SN6505A/B data sheet) which requires a miniature, external transformer but should easily get the 2 W you are asking for.
Regards,
