UCC27524: Are markings a UCC27524?

Part Number: UCC27524

When I apply power to the chip it draws more than 50 ma. I have no load, and the chip gets hot. This happened on the first 2 chips. The marking on the chip is a 6BAHJDM E4 27524, and it has a TI logo. Is this a UCC27524? The IDD on the UCC27524 is specified at 100 microamps.

  • Hi Joe,

Assuming no load and the chip operating in standby mode, the current drawn from the supply should approximately VDD / 200k-Ohms.

Please confirm your setup according to bias current test conditions specified in Section 7.5.

    Regards,
