Dear Expert of Power Design
We are using LM2679 to drive a TEC module, the resistance of the TEC is at the 1-ohm range, but not a consistent number, so we set the output voltage high, in the design is close to 10V. we use the current limit feature of LM2679 to limit the output to around 6A. it works fine for quite a while. but recently, we notice that the system has special noise correspond to the TEC on.
assume are drive the R125 to 1.21V.
Will this kind of application expect higher noise than the standard(no current limit trigger) usage?
Is this kind of design recommended?
are there any other downsides using the current limit in regular working conditions.
Thanks,
