BQ35100: How to get ChemID about non-rechargeable battery?

Hi team,

My customer designed BQ35100 in their system and they will use non-rechargeable battery: ex: Alkaline and LiFeS2 type.

As I know we should need chemID before doing GG programming. But I don't know is there ChemID for non-rechargeable battery, please advise.

And please also advise procedure how to design BQ35100 with non-rechargeable battery? Do we also need learning process?

Hello Paul,

It depends on the mode you are planning to use, in accumulator mode you don't need to program a ChemID. What i the application they are planning to use the gauge? You will not need to do a learning cycle on non-rechargeable batteries.

This is for IP camera application.

So if customer plug in a new battery, what is enable procedure for BQ35100?
