Encountered a problem during the OCP test of IEC 62368-1 Ver 3
In terms of the attached Typical Application
EX, OCP should be Icharge = 3 A, 160% = 4.8A, but... How can this analog current be added to 4.8A to protect it?

Hi Jason,
Depending on charge current, the converter has an inbuilt cycle by cycle over-current protection, and current is monitored to to determine whether to stop switching or not. HSFET will be turned on and if current exceeds OCP, then we will switch off HIDRV to limit the current seen at the output of the switching converter.
Hi Kedar
Thank you for your reply, but ISET will limit the charging current, how to simulate OCP without changing R5, R6, R7 & R8
Regards,
Hi Jason,
Short the output to GND. The OCP will kick in to prevent overcurrent and you can observe the signals HIDRV, PH and inductor current to verify.
