BQ25710: Range of VBUS values

Hi,

Wanted to ask about the range of VBUS values. According to the data sheet the voltage on VBUS is stated to have a range of 3.2V - 19.52V

However, I wanted to ask how this range defers from the range stated in the reccomended Operating Conditions (0 - 24V):

Because to my knowledge the VBUS can be tied to the VIN via the JP7, and the input voltage range stated is from 3.5V to 24V, so I was under the assumption that the VBUS should be able to go up to 24V.

    Kit,

    I believe you are confusing two different parameters. The VBUS input can range from 0 to 24 volts.

    VIREG_DPM_RNG refers to the operating range of the input voltage regulation loop. This loop is used for the DPM input voltage regulation and the OTG output voltage regulation. 

    In forward mode, the charger will reduce the charge current if the input voltage tries to fall below the input voltage regulation setting.
