TPS92613-Q1: LED dimming driver

Part Number: TPS92613-Q1
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: TPS929120-Q1

please tell me

Is there a recommended LED driver that meets the following conditions for TI products?
-The number of LEDs and forward voltage are unknown because LED-UNIT is used
-The specifications of LED-UNIT are DC24V/1.5W products and DC24V/1.9W
-DC input is 24V or 36V
-Dimmable (PWM or analog input)
-Control from microcomputer
-Output OFF with Enable signal etc.

Does this TPS92613 meet the conditions?

Thanking you in advance

  • since the information is unclear, i have some recommedation for you:

1)Could you tell me what the meaning of "The specifications of LED-UNIT are DC24V/1.5W products and DC24V/1.9W" , if the LED forward voltage is 24V , i think 24 input voltage can't satisfy the need. Could i consider the forward current of LED is 1.5/24=80mA. You should make sure the iput voltage is higher than LED forward voltage.

2)if input is 24V TPS92613 can meet the conditions, if input is 36V there will be some risk for Tps92613-q1 because the max input is 45V, if there is a overshout in input bus the device may damage by it.

  • Hello
    Thank you very much.

    1) DC24V/1.5W of LED-UNIT is the value stated in the performance use of LF1B-NA, and DC24V/1.9W is the specification of LDR2-32SW2.
The forward current of the LED can be considered as 1.5/24=62.5mA, 1.9/24=79mA.
The input voltage can be adjusted to 24V or higher.

    2) I understand.

    additional questions
The TPS92613 uses PWM control. Is there a device that can perform analog dimming?

  • you can notice TPS929120-Q1 it has analog dimming function and you can parallel channels to achieve the high output current.
