Other Parts Discussed in Thread: BQSTUDIO, , EV2400
I have a problem similar to that described. Using an EV2300, I open BQStudio before connecting to the target, disable the auto refresh, and then attach.
A register scan indicates communications issues with the BQ40Z80, and the gauge will not communicate. If I repeat the connection process, go directly
to advanced SMB, write word 0F00 to enter the ROM mode, the 0F00 write is successful. When I try to reprogram the device I get the "Not in ROM mode"
error message. Repeating the connection process I try reading registers 0002 and 0003 from ManAcess and the device in both cases returns 6301. For
all intensive purposes the gauge is bricked and needs to be replaced. Is there another way out?
