LM5088-Q1: About HG ringing countermeasures

Part Number: LM5088-Q1

Hi TI-team

My customer has  question.

Although the gate of the external FET is connected to the HG pin (pin 14), ringing occurs in the operating waveform.

It will be improved by adding a gate resistance between the HG pin (pin 14) and the FET gate.

1. Is it okay to add a gate resistor to this node ?

2. If the addition is okay, what is the maximum resistance value ?
(They think it depends on the FET used, but if you look at the waveform, if it is about 30 Ω, there will be no waveform distortion)

Best Regards,
