Part Number: TPS62420

The following IC is used for power regulation from 5V to 1.2V and 3.3V. In the design recommendation document of the IC there are two inductors L1 and L2 can anyone suggest some other similar parts for same or can i used other inductors with less current rating or resistance. I am attaching the reference documents from TI.

Hi Sarang,

There is a list of possible inductors in the datasheet of the device. You can also choose another inductor based on your calculations following the datasheet recommendations. There are many possible inductors from Murata/ TDK/ Coil craft etc. The saturation current of the inductor should be rated higher than the maximum inductor current and can be calculated with Equation 7 in the datasheet. The DC resistance of the inductor should also be lowest for highest efficiency.
