What do you mean by feed through mode? Is it the same as 100% duty cycle operation?
TPS62826 (buck converter) supports 100% duty cycle as VIN approaches VOUT (VIN_min = Vout + Iout_max * [Rdson + Rload). On the other hand, the 3A device looks an overkill for your application. You can consider TPS62821 (see attached file) which is a 1A part.
By the way, is it correct that you intend to convert 3.0~4.2V input to 3.3V output? If that is the case, then you should consider buck-boost converter instead.
