we are not using mechanical switch to enter/exit ship mode. can we leave MR_N disconnected or short to ground?

    Hello,

    You can leave the pin unconnected if you only intend to exit shipmode through VIN plugin. The device automatically enters shipmode upon battery only insertion.

    If you short the pin to ground, the device will never be able to enter shipmode and will always leak battery current through the pull up resistor from /MR to BAT.
