We are planning to design a battery management system for 2S2P Lion battery pack. We are going through the data sheet of BQ4050 and found this IC suitable for our requirement. However we do not understand what is GNDSIDE in the SMBUS connection ? What does that indicate? Is it something TI specific or generic? Please provide us more information about this as it will greatly help our design.
