WEBENCH® Tools/TPS54561-Q1: Power Supply Noise Help

Part Number: TPS54561-Q1

Tool/software: WEBENCH® Design Tools

Hello Team,

Could you please give some insight into why there might be noise in this system. The issue was fixed by adding a 22uF cap at the connector output or at the load end.

My customer has provided 4 screenshots of the TPS54561QDPRRQ1 when operated at:

1. 30V input. Current ramp up from 0A to 6A. Noise stops around ~4A load.

2. 20V input. Current ramp up from 0A to 6A. Noise stops around ~3.5A load.

3. 10V input. Current ramp up from 0A to 6A.

4. 30V input. Current ramp down from 6A to 0A. Noise starts at ~1.9A.

Note: The design was pulled straight from Webench. I can send the schematic internally if requested.

Best,

Dajon McGill
