LM5116: LM5116 additional control circuit as proposed in SLUR965

Part Number: LM5116

Does any of the resistor or capacitor values in the control circuit that synchronizes the two controllers of PMP7282 change if the output of the system was adjusted to 28V, 20A?

  • Hello Brian,

there is no impact by the power stage to the small sync circuitry:
timer U2 and buffer U4 are supplied out of VCC U1 via Q7.
FB level keeps the same, is Vref by virtual short circuit across OpAmp inputs.

Loop and ramp capacitor will need adjustment, UVLO might need adjustment.

    Best regards, Bernd

  • Thanks Bernd, I used the WEBENCH tool to find the values of the buck converter caps and resisters for 28V, 20A ouput. I will leave the timing resister the same to keep the clock the same.

    Thanks again,
