UCC28780: UCC28780+PFC can achieve 200W?

1. Our customers asked whether UCC28780+PFC can achieve 200W?

While we do not have any reference design at this power level, PFC+UCC28780 should be able to work at this power level

2. Is there any other recommended solution? PFC+LLC, PFC+Flyback, etc.

Typically at 200W we see customers use PFC+LLC.  PMP40580 and TIDA-010038 are examples of PFC+LLC around this power level.  If a wide output voltage range is required, a PFC+LCC topology like PMP20946 may be preferred

3. UCC28742+PFC can achieve 200W?

UCC28742 is designed for much lower power level.  For 200W one of our higher power level flyback, such as UCC28600, is recommended.

4. Is TI has any reference design for 200W?

• 180W PFC+LLC: PMP40580 
• 150W norm, 240W peak with CV/CC PFC+LLC: TIDA-010038
• 200W PFC+LCC: PMP20946

Thank you for sharing that additional reference design.

TIDA-01464 uses a PFC+Two Switch Flyback, so it is a different topology than what I shared earlier.  It will also work for this application, as the reference design shows.
