TPS65070 - Externally power sequencing control

Hi,

I want to use external power sequence by controlling enable pins of DC-DC converters of TPS65070.

In data sheet, they mentioned that when controls EN pin independently,  sequencing program needs to be DCDC_SEQ[2:0]  = 101.

Default sequencing of TPS65070 is DCDC_SEQ[2:0] = 011.

So it means that if i use external sequencing then DCDC_SEQ[2:0] register move out of picture ?

If not then how to manage DCDC_SEQ[2:0] ? B'cz TPS65070 will not power ON due to its default register setting.

I need below power sequencing with external control

1.2V (VDDC3) ---> 1.8V (VDDC2) -----> 3.3V (VDDC1)

 

So let me know that i am able to control DC-DC converter independently through its enable pin  or not ?

    Hitesh,

    The supplies of TPS6507x can be sequenced with the EN_DCDCx (enable) pins per page 33 of the datasheet. To do so, register DCDC_SEQ[2:0] has to equal 101.  The TPS65073 has this (DCDC_SEQ[2:0]=101) set as the default value as visible in Table 9 of the datasheet.
