BQ25790: Some pin connection questions

Part Number: BQ25790

Hi,

We have some pin connection questions for BQ25790.  Please support to provide your comments.

  • What is the easiest way of TS pin connection if it's not used?
  • How should we connect D+/D- if they're not used?  Just keep them floating?
  • Considering ship mode is not used with SDRV connect to a 1nF to GND, how should we connect QON?  Just keep it unconnected since there's internal pull-up?
  • If we don't want to control CE pin, can we just connect it to GND directly?  Or any R/C required?

Thanks!

Antony

  • Anthony,

Regarding 1, as with all our devices, you can effectively hardware disable TS using a resistor divider from REGN to TS to GND, set to 55%.  This device also has a register bit to disable TS (REGh18b0).

Regarding 2, you can either leave floating or short together to set the maximum IINDPM setting.

Regarding 3, if not used, /QON can be left floating due to the internal pullup.

Regarding 4, /CE pin can be grounded.  No R/C is required.

    Regards,

    Jeff
