LM5145: Power Designer

Part Number: LM5145

Hi Team,

Which is correct, the LM5145 Quickstart Design Tool (Rev. C) result or the Power Designer result?

The result at 14V/15A output is different.

Which reference should I use when designing constants for the phase compensation circuit?

When both results are swapped and simulated, the Bode plot results show that there is little margin.

Best Regards,

Kenji

  • Kenji,

WEBENCH is very good good for an initial design and exporting to simulation.

The quickstart calculator should give you more flexibility in customizing the control loop.

The bode plot of your simulation and real measurement should match pretty closely to the quickstart calculator.

If they are not matching well please attach your designs.

    Otherwise hope this helped,
