Hi
We use TPS7A4901DGNR in 5.6V to 5.0V voltage regulator, typical output current is about 75-80mA.
The PCB is in production from 2014. No an issue till November, 2019.
Starting from the end of November we experienced reduced voltage for about 15-20% of all produced PCBs (down to 3.5V).
Looks like hundreds samples defected.
Test on 2 defected components shows, that current limit starts from 55-60mA. Before reaching this level, voltage regulating is OK.
For good components current limit is according to the specification (>220mA).
Increasing of input voltage to 6-10V does not help.
Could you please help.
Thank you in advance.
Best regards,
Serhiy Tsap
Hi Serhiy,
Can you take pictures of the failed devices? Do they have the same lot codes?
I will try to get our sales support team in contact to help with the FA process.
Hi Serhiy,
I have our sales in contact with your procurement team to get to the bottom of this.
Thanks,
Hi John,
