WEBENCH® Tools/LM61460: Cff value is different from datasheet.

Part Number: LM61460

Tool/software: WEBENCH® Design Tools

Hi, I am trying to use LM61460 for the system.

Vin : 24V

Vout : 5V

freq : 1.18Mhz

Iout(max) : 5A

In the datasheet, recommended Cff for the Vout 5V is about 10pf~30pF.

But from the webench desing tool

Cff value is 3pF.

I am confused. Which value is more adequate for my system?

Vin : 24V

Vout : 5V

freq : 1.18Mhz

Iout(max) : 5A

  • Seokmin,

The tables you show are for 2.2MHz and 440kHz designs.

Table 3 in the datasheet shows a 1MHz design with a 4.7pF CFF.

3.3pF and 4.7pF should be close enough to have similar results.

Otherwise, if you use a larger COUT than WEBENCH recommends you will see better transient with larger CFF.

    Hope this helps,
