BQ25898: Does BQ25898 have the same protection mechanism as BQ24160 if battery OVP happen?

Part Number: BQ25898
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: BQ24160,

Hi,

We use two charger ICs BQ24160 and BQ25898 in different products.

According to datasheet of BQ24160, as below, VBAT(REG) should never be programmed less than VBAT. If the battery is ever 5% above the regulation threshold, the battery OVP circuit shuts the PWM converter off immediately and the battery FET is turned on to discharge the battery to safe operating levels.

Does BQ25898 have the same protection mechanism if battery OVP happens: the battery OVP circuit shuts the PWM converter off immediately and the battery FET is turned on to discharge the battery to safe operating levels?

Thank you!
