BQ24086: Charger Status Pins On Full Battery Charge

Hi,

 We are using BQ24086DRC as charger IC for our lithium-ion batteries. The issue is when instrument is put on charger for long duration (10-12) hours after full charge, the charger status pins start giving the "charge fault" status. The charger PG pin remains OK.

The fault remains active for 2-3 hours and then disappears on its own.

Can someone please suggest what the issue is?
