TPS2HB16-Q1: Regarding maximum output load current of IC per channel and both channels at a time.

For TPS2HB16BQPWPRQ1 IC the nominal output current IC mentioned is 7A when single channel used and 5A per channel when both channels are used. Can I get the information about the maximum value of load current it can work with.

Please reply as early as possible.

Hello Akshay,

The max nominal DC current supported will depend on how hot the junction temperature gets. To see if the device supports your load current you will have to calculate how hot it gets and compare it to the maximum junction temperature of the device which is 150C for the TPS2HB16-Q1. For more information please refer to section 2.4.1 of How To Drive Resistive, Inductive, Capacitive, and Lighting Loads (Rev. A).
