Other Parts Discussed in Thread: TPS7A52
Is this usage correct?
VOUT = 2.5V, IOUT = 1.5A
VIN = VBIAS = 3.3V
We would like to get VOUT=2.5V.

Hello,
If you tie the Vin to Vbias, then the worst case dropout voltage is 1.4V.
So using a worst case analysis, you would need 2.5 + 1.4 = 3.9V on the Vin=Vbias pins to achieve 2.5V.
See the snapshot from the TPS742 datasheet below.
If 3.9V is not available, the TPS7A52 looks like a very good choice in this case.
The dropout voltage is much smaller for this new device and you would be able to use a 3.3V input like this to generate 2.5V at 1.5A.
Thanks,
