Hi team,

i need a single cell Li battery charger that has the following features/specs:

1. LED state of charge output feature.(to show the charge on battery)

2. 125mA charge current

3. USB input (5.5V to 6V max)

can you please help recommend the right device?

Hello,

The BQ21061 has a VIN max of 5.4V

You can also take a look at the BQ25101 and the BQ25120A

how can I tell which is capable of driving 3-4 LEDs for charge status?

Hello,

The BQ25155 has an ADC which allows you to measure the battery voltage. You can use the MCU to drive the LEDs based on ADC measurement.

The BQ25120A also has a crude battery percentage reading which can allow you to use the MCU to drive the LEDs.

The BQ25101 does not require a MCU but you can connect a LED to the /CHG pin which only states charging and not charging.
