Can you explain the "IFET - ILOAD margin" parameter on the LM5069 Design Calculator Rev C ?

    Hi Bruno,

    Thanks for reaching out!

    IFET is the FET current which is the sum of load current (ILOAD) and output capacitor charging current (ICAP). The controller sets IFET current during startup based on the current limit and power limit settings. 

    "IFET - ILOAD margin" = ICAP/IFET; it is the margin the system can support additional load during startup. 

    Please unlock the design sheet with password LM5069 to view the background calculations. Hope this helps!
