BQ24070: Question about protection, maximum output current and driving two motors.

Part Number: BQ24070

Hello!

I use BQ24070 charging module in my project. I have two 18650 LiIon batteries in parallel, charge it via USB Type C. In addition to the charging chip, I use the LTC4368 power controller to protect from overcurrent (short circuit) and protect against reverse polarity. This was done for reinsurance. Now I plan to re-build board and want to throw out this power controller. Question: will the BQ24070 provide protection against reverse polarity and short circuit?

I also planned to use two brush DC motors with a maximum starting current 2.1 A, controlled by drivers with a maximum output current 2.6 A. The specifications on the BQ24070 show the maximum current to the OUT pin 4A. Question: what happens if i start two motors together (current will be 4.2 A) ? And can I supply drivers directly from BQ24070?

Sorry for my English :)
