Hi....

I am using bq20z90EVM and EV2300 for interfacing with the system.

1) But when i open the bqEVSW 0.9.59, its not auto detecting the chip.

2) More over when i click bqEasy, it says .encr file is missing and it also says that " check if the device is not in seal".

The EVM is new, so I applied 15v between pack+ and pack-. and connected 2 Li-ion cells.

PLEASE HELP ME.......

Thanks for the reply... But,

This is what i am getting.... No matter what ever version i try. I am giving Pack+ and pack- vge...

When i give OK for that dialog box and manually select bq20z90, and go to bqEASY, it says .encr file is missing or, asking to check if the pack is in seal mode or not. Help me out please.

It looks like the you are having communication issues. The EVSW is not even detecting that a board is connected. There are several items to check to try to narrow what the problem could be. Start with USB cable. Swap it out with another one and see if that fixes your issue. If it doesn't, here is a list of other things to check:

1. SMBus cable

2. EV2300

3. The EVM itself

If none of those fixes the problem, I recommend uninstalling EVSW and reinstalling. It's possible that the drivers were installed incorrectly.

Once you figure out what is causing the no-communication problem, we can address the other issues you are seeing.
