TPS2560: whether we have some methods to evaluate the temperature rise speed

Hi team,

My customer is using the TPS2560 now, we want to check whether we have some methods to evaluate the temperature rise speed? For example, the device will trigger OCP for over load conditions. Then it will trigger the OTP, how to evaluate when it will trigger OTP? Thanks.

Hi Frank,

It will thermal shut down at 135degree as in current limit condition.

For the temperature, it related to thermal resistance.

Thermal resistance is highly dependent on the individual package and board layout.

I am not clear about the current foldback function.

But you can refer to datasheet figure 14 as following:

Vout will decrease as trigger Ios. For details, please see figure 22 and figure 23.
