Dear TI team,
I would like to ask about TL494
For the TL494, the fosc recommended conditions are 300 kHz at maximum, as shown in the figure below.
However, in Figure.1 of the data sheet, there is only data up to 100kHz.
Our customer is considering using at fosc=200kHz. Do you have RT, CT data at 200kHz? (Are there any RT and CT data with fosc of 100kHz or more?)
(I have confirmed that RT and CT can be estimated by fosc=1/(RT×CT), but in the case of fosc=200kHz, is it only possible to confirm RT and CT from the calculation formula?)
Best Regards,
Y.Ottey
Hello Y.Ottey,
I do not know why the TL494 is specified for use with a recommended oscillator frequency up to 300kHz
and the frequency curve stops at 100kHz.
It may be that the frequency change at higher frequencies was just not graphically represented.
I suggest that you use the equation fosc=1/(RT×CT) to calculate the oscillator frequency and use the following parameter for frequency change
At this time that is all the information available.
Regards
John
