LP5012: I2C module reset by EN pin/ leakage current at Vcc=0V, SCL/SDA/EN=3.3V

Part Number: LP5012
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: LP5009,

HI Expert,

My customer have some questions about LP5009/12.

Question1

If they have an abnormal I2C communication issue, Can they reset the I2C module in the device by EN pin?

I think, I2C module will be reset, because EN pin is chip enable.

Question2

Does LP5012/09 have leakage current at Vcc=0V and SCL/SDA/EN=3.3V?

The different voltage for Vcc and SCL/SDA/EN is no problem, right? (Vcc=5V, SCL/SDA/EN=3.3V)

Thanks

Muk

  • Hi Muk,

    1. Yes all blocks and registers would be reset by toggling EN pin.

    2. The leakage at SCL/SDA/EN pin would be lower than 1uA. Yes it is OK to set them at different power line. VIL and VIH of SCL/SDA/EN follow absolute voltage as spec table (page 8 in datasheet).
