Other Parts Discussed in Thread: BQ34Z100-G1
Hi,
It looks like the minimum input voltage of the bq27z561-R1 could support a 2S stack of NiMH batteries. Are the any issues to be aware of when implementing this?
Regards,
Jake

Hello Jacob,
The bq27z561-r1 doesn't support the NiMH chemistry, I wold recommend looking at some of the other gauges designed to gauge NiMH, the bq34z100-g1 is a good option, but I don't think it could do a 2S NiMH application due to low voltage, it could do 3S NiMH.

Hi Wyatt,
I've searched through everything marked for NiMH support. Looks like they all require >2V for operation.
Is there anything I missed?

Jake
Hello Jacob,
I could not find any gauges that work with such low voltage and with NiMH chemistry.
