BQ24725: use to charge non-smart battery

if use BQ24725 to charge a non-smart battery, can the charge voltage and charge current be setted?  if the system is turned off, does BQ24725 charge battery at a default voltage or current?

    Hi,

    At POR (power-on reset), the ChargeVoltage() and ChargeCurrent() registers are both set to zero. Therefore, the BQ24725 will not start charging on its own. The host MCU must write to the ChargeVoltage() and ChargeCurrent() registers before the BQ24725 can begin charging the battery.
