BQ40Z50-R1: is it possible to upgrade to R2 or R3?

 Hi support team!

So the question is in the header, is it possible to upgrade existing bq40z50-R1 devices to R2 or R3 versions by simply writing new SREC images through bootloader?

In other words are they sharing same hw platform?

    Hello Igor,

    Yes, you can upgrade existing BQ40Z50-R1 devices into the BQ40Z50-R2 and BQ40Z50-R3 ones by just updating its firmware. Which means these can be used with any existing BQ40Z50 hardware.

    You will have to download the new .srec files their respective pages and use bqStudio to upgrade it.
