BQ76952: BQ76952 feature considerations for BMS Design.

So, I have been working on BMS Design and I'm at a point where I have to narrow down to one AFE for design. After a good amount of brainstorming and comparison, I have considered BQ76952 as one of the options.

Can anyone please help me with following points:

Does it support Cell Balancing.
Type of Supported Current sensor (Shunt or Hall sensor).
Does it offers stackability between multiple AFEs.
Can we use it for Commercial board design.

hi Anurag,
Thank you for your interest in BQ76952.
Please find below my feedback.

1. BQ76952 does support cell balancing (not enabled in the existing samples & EVMs).

2. BQ76952 measures current thru a sense resistor

3. BQ76952 doesn't include a stacking interface but can be stacked with the addition of some external components (isolation), like shown with this other monitor BQ76930 on this reference design. BTW if you are looking for a BQ79616-Q1

4. you can certainly start your development with BQ76952 current samples then switch in a few months to the final IC, when we release it to the market.
