Hello Julian,
Make sure the gauge is in UNSEALED FULL ACCESS mode, if the gauge is sealed the values will not stay saved in the gauge.
I would recommend making sure the firmware is up to date as well.
Sincerely,
Wyatt Keller
Hello Julian,
To update the firmware go to the product page and use the firmware updater, then use the SREC from the location the updater puts the files and program the board with the programming tab in bqStudio.
Make sure you are in full access mode to update firmware and the data flash values. The method is in the TRM page 51: https://www.ti.com/lit/ug/sluubw5/sluubw5.pdf?ts=1594943618460&ref_url=https%253A%252F%252Fwww.ti.com%252Fproduct%252FBQ34Z100-G1

Hello Julian,
I believe you may have several posts that may be the same issue. How do you have the connections configured? Have you followed the quick start guide and the EVM users manual on the product page for the initial setup?
Sincerely,
Wyatt Keller
hello i am working with the bq34z100 chip in a pcb of my own design i started implementing the programming routines with a microcontroller programming the charge cycles in arduino and changing to an ev2400 module the objective is to make a card with the bq34z100 g1 to measure lead batteries 12 volt 7 A therefore we do not use the evaluation module that texas instrument offers in its catalog we do it directly in our prototype development card.
Thank you for your attention
Hello Julian,
So to clarify you are able to write to the data flash and the values are saved but you can't write the SREC without a loss of communication to the board?
You can try switching to the stable version of bqStudio as well if you are getting notifications of functions under development. Can you share the schematic of the board you are testing?

Hello, in the process of programming the registers of the flash memory, it presents the following error: parameter not written..
the calibration configuration guide on the youtube page that they present is not in accordance with the reality of the bq34z100 in the configuration of the registers that are presented with a new bq34z100 from the factory.
