Hi,
Before thermal shutdown protection could be triggered, there are other protection features such as input current limit, system overcurrent limit, thermal regulations etc. Please refer to 9.2.14 Voltage and Current Monitoring in Buck and Boost Mode and 9.2.15 Battery Protection on the d/s for the details.
Thanks,
Ning.
