Hello

I've two Q's reg the above.

1. Data Sheet mentions,

" The maximum voltage on the Input and Enable pins is not restricted by the voltage on the VDD pin. "

Does it mean that INA or INB can exceed the Vdd supply?

2. What is the Input Capacitance?

If I use a 4K7 Input Resistor, what may be the incremental increase in the Propagation delay?

Thanks and regards

What you said is correct. basically its saying if VDD=12V (less than abs max), INA/INB abs max voltage is not going to be required to be less because VDD is less.

I believe it is on the order of pF, but I am not sure. We dont' publish this figure for gate driver usually. A colleague with more expertise will be back on monday, they will respond to you about this question.

  • Hi Varunesh,

I work with Dimitri in the High Power Drivers group.

Maximum input capacitance is approximately 30pF.

You will essentially add the delay caused by the external filter to the driver's inherent delay caused by the internal logic (17ns, typ.).
