BQ25792: USB Data Lines in non-USB Applications

Part Number: BQ25792

What should be done with the d+/d- pins when the input isn't a usb source?

  • Hi Justin,

The D+/D- lines can be left floating to detect unknown adapter and set IINDPM to 3.0A or shorted together to set IINDPM to 1.5A.  Check in mind that with the ILIM_HIZ pin enabled, the resistor from ILIM_HIZ to gnd clamps the input current limit regardless of what is autodetected.

    Regards,

    Jeff
