LM5060: Can it be used at the low side of the Load?

For our particular application it would be interesting to place the eFuse at the low side of the load, and power the IC with a separate voltage source, via de Vin pin, with common ground. I attach a small schematic, of the original reference design, and our idea.

As i couldn't manage to find any examples or eFuses designed for use in a low side configuration, i was wondering if it is possible, and why i couldn't find any.
