Hi Team,

Rated power dissipation not mentioned in datasheet

Please share us the rated power dissipation so as to check derating.

    Vijayavani,

    The LM2595 maximum junction temperature is 150C (table 7.1).

    Figure 40 and figure 41 show the junction to ambient rise for different packages at 1A out.

    Please use the appropriate temperature rise from this curve and add to ambient temperature. If the junction temperature reaches or exceeds 150C then the converter will not support 1A at that operating point.
