CCS/BQ40Z80: The shutdown mode of BQ40Z80

Part Number: BQ40Z80

Tool/software: Code Composer Studio

Dear TI:

Please advise when BQ40Z80 is in shutdown mode, does  all internal LDOs turn off?  I want to make sure what's the meaning of shutdown mode. Does it mean that BQ40Z80 is completely off and doesn't leave any functions active and there is some leakage current in this mode?

Thanks!

  • Hello Emma,

When the BQ40Z80 enters SHUTDOWN, it is completely off. No functions will be active in the device. You'd only be able to exit SHUTDOWN when the voltage at the PACK pin is greater than the start-up voltage.

    Best Regards,
